The best thing (at least as far as we're concerned) about staying in a Guildford holiday cottage is the self-catering. Now that doesn't mean you need to cook everything because there are plenty of places to eat out in Guildford Surrey. Without a doubt the main way holiday makers get to their cottage is by car, because it's the easiest. Although it's good to be able to hop in the car to the nearest town when you get there - don't you really just want to get away from it all? Buses and coaches are often surprisingly good value, and a train journey will take you through countryside you'll never see from the road.
