If you are looking for a modern family cottage, a romantic break in an old stone cottage or just somewhere to get away for a short time, we can help. Cottages are usually found in country villages and areas, but can be modern as well as traditional. Cottage holidays have a unique feel to them and there are more and more cottages available in Frome. Taking your family away can be fun and stressful, but we find that staying in a cottage takes much of that stress away. So you can let you kids do whatever they want (as long as you're happy!) without fear of being too noisy or too messy.

A cottage can be perfect for a very short break or very long holiday. We know that sometimes it's hard to book a long way in advance, but the benefits are obvious - more availability. Choosing the right Frome accommodation is sometimes complicated when there are so many factors. There's no doubt that being in the right town or village is a big factor, but the number of beds you need is more so. Before you book, be clear on how many people need separate beds as if you're travelling with friends, they may not be up for sharing double beds!
Somerset is blessed with a large number of very excellent holiday cottages suitable for families, couples and just friends. If you have any concerns with your booking, please contact the cottage operator directly since we are unable to help. Although we can't promise this for all our cottages in Frome and Somerset, many of them are very close to a number of outdoor facilities. Families can enjoy long bike rides, couples can enjoy energetic walks and groups of friends can be more adventurous, such as climbing. But many people also like to just take it easy - and sit back and enjoy the experience away from the stress of work.

If you like self-catering then there really is no better option than a holiday cottage in Frome. It's great to cook your own food, know exactly what ingredients are going in, and enjoying the reward of a great meal. Without a doubt the main way holiday makers get to their cottage is by car, because it's the easiest. But have you considered taking a more environmentally sound approach, one that uses less carbon? Buses and coaches are often surprisingly good value, and a train journey will take you through countryside you'll never see from the road.
