As a holiday maker you have a great number of accommodation choices when it comes to staying away in the UK. Often the most beautiful cottages can be found in the most unexpected places. There's a good range of cottages in Cheddar which is great for you, the consumer. Taking your family away can be fun and stressful, but we find that staying in a cottage takes much of that stress away. You can get up late, stay up late, go for walks, stay inside - and eat whatever takes your fancy, exactly when you're hungry.

There are many rental cottages in Somerset that can accommodate you. The busiest times of year will be around the school summer holiday, so if you don't have kids, you may want to avoid July and August. Getting the perfect property for your stay in Cheddar is made much easier with our site, but make sure you're prepared! Although location and the core facilities play a large part in the decision, please make sure you pay attention to the beds. Make sure you know who is prepared to share a room, and who isn't - it's not always obvious til you ask.
Somerset is blessed with a large number of very excellent holiday cottages suitable for families, couples and just friends. We just find the cottages for you - we do not make the bookings - so if there are any issues please contact the reservation agency or cottage directly. Cheddar and Somerset have a number of great things to do if you want to sample the fresh air and move a few muscles. Couples can take long romantic walks (or even silent ones!), friends can get on bicycles, families can visit adventure parks or play tennis. However, if you're like us, we tend to use the time to relax, read a good book, catch up on sleep and generally laze around.

Self-catering can make a cottage holiday in Cheddar much more flexible, allowing you to eat whatever you want (or can cook). Whether you love cooking up a large stew, a roast dinner or just prefer a toasted cheese sandwich - it can match your mood. Assuming you don't own a private helicopter, you're probably thinking about travelling in your own car. But have you considered taking a more environmentally sound approach, one that uses less carbon? Kids can find the adventure of a train or coach far more interesting, and it takes away the stress of navigation.
