Couples can take long romantic walks (or even silent ones!), friends can get on bicycles, families can visit adventure parks or play tennis. However, if you're like us, we tend to use the time to relax, read a good book, catch up on sleep and generally laze around.

When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Angus, it's just more fun. Whether you love cooking up a large stew, a roast dinner or just prefer a toasted cheese sandwich - it can match your mood. If you're like the majority of people you are probably assuming you will travel to Angus by car. Although it's good to be able to hop in the car to the nearest town when you get there - don't you really just want to get away from it all? Trains, buses and coaches are a much more carbon friendly solution since the fuel is shared by so many more people.
