The range of accommodation available in the UK is impressive, and this not only allows holiday makers to choose from many alternatives, but also keeps the prices competitive. Cottages are usually found in country villages and areas, but can be modern as well as traditional. More than ever before, there's a good selection of holiday cottages in and around Walsingham. Children enjoy staying in cottages even more than adults, because there's a huge sense of freedom that they just don't get in a hotel, staying with friends or even at home. The excitement of a new bedroom that they can make their own is enough draw, without all the benefits of playing outside in the safety of a quiet rural environment.

A cottage can be perfect for a very short break or very long holiday. Once you've found a great cottage, it's always a pleasure to go back the following year, and don't forget to tell your friends about our site if you found it here. When you are looking for the right holiday cottage in Walsingham, there are a few considerations to bear in mind. There's no doubt that being in the right town or village is a big factor, but the number of beds you need is more so. Getting the right number of beds and bedrooms can be the difference between friends and family sleeping well - or not at all.
Norfolk is blessed with a large number of very excellent holiday cottages suitable for families, couples and just friends. If you have a question about your reservation please contact the cottage operator who took your order and card details. Holiday makers often like to get out into the country and take part in open-air activities, and in Norfolk there are number of great options. Couples can take long romantic walks (or even silent ones!), friends can get on bicycles, families can visit adventure parks or play tennis. Or maybe you'd be happier sitting by the side of a river with a fishing rod, a cup of coffee and a good friend?

When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Walsingham, it's just more fun. It's great to cook your own food, know exactly what ingredients are going in, and enjoying the reward of a great meal. Without a doubt the main way holiday makers get to their cottage is by car, because it's the easiest. But have you considered taking a more environmentally sound approach, one that uses less carbon? Although most places are going to be out of reach by bicycle the UK train and coach network can get you very close.

Norfolk

'Norfolk has a reputation for being a little flat, and there is much truth to that. But that does not mean that the county is not a great place to stay in a holiday cottage. The variety of countryside is still quite significant including a stunning coastline (particularly along North Norfolk), rolling chalklands, woodland, forests, and world renowned charm of the Norfolk Broads - which many people do not realise are actually man made.

Norfolks huge range of local attractions and facilities including arts and crafts, boutique hotels, beautiful gardens, amazing museums, exciting zoos, fine dining and casual restaurants, lovely old tea-rooms, pubs and inns. At one point Norwich was said to have enough pubs to visit a different one every day for a year, and a different church for every Sunday.

Norfolk has a rich heritage of Roman ruins including castles, walls and roads as well as beautiful churches, wonderful ... (more)
