When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Forres, it's just more fun. It's great to cook your own food, know exactly what ingredients are going in, and enjoying the reward of a great meal. Without a doubt the main way holiday makers get to their cottage is by car, because it's the easiest. But we'd suggest that taking the car can add to the stress levels and you can arrive exhausted from a long drive. Although most places are going to be out of reach by bicycle the UK train and coach network can get you very close.
