FILTER COTTAGES
...
Wherever you visit, you can usually find a good variety of places to stay; we realise that this isn't just restricted to cottages and that there is competition from b&bs and hotels. Merseyside is full of great places to stay, with self-catering accommodation in nearly every town. The selection of Sefton holiday cottages is increasing every year. Children enjoy staying in cottages even more than adults, because there's a huge sense of freedom that they just don't get in a hotel, staying with friends or even at home. The freedom to be able to come and go as you please, being able to cook your own food, or just being able to sleep in as long as you want.

Renting is a great way to spend a week away. The busiest times of year will be around the school summer holiday, so if you don't have kids, you may want to avoid July and August. The choice of Sefton cottages is very broad so its important to understand what you need in advance. Booking the right number of bedrooms is critical as although too many is a luxury, too few can be a big problem. Before you book, be clear on how many people need separate beds as if you're travelling with friends, they may not be up for sharing double beds!
Cottages in Merseyside range in size from small and quaint for a couple right up to properties that can accommodate more than 10. If you have a question about your reservation please contact the cottage operator who took your order and card details. Although we can't promise this for all our cottages in Sefton and Merseyside, many of them are very close to a number of outdoor facilities. These can include mountain biking, swimming, road cycling, climbing, canoeing, flying kites, shooting - as well as tennis and golf. Or perhaps you're more interested in a pint of beer, a glass of wine or a gin and tonic in a traditional country pub?

The best thing (at least as far as we're concerned) about staying in a Sefton holiday cottage is the self-catering. It's a relief to be able to eat whatever you fancy, and any time of the day, and of course self-catering can include take-aways. Most people will drive to their destination because it gives them increased mobility on their holiday. With the cost of petrol ever increasing it's worth investigating alternative travel arrangements. Buses and coaches are often surprisingly good value, and a train journey will take you through countryside you'll never see from the road.
