When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Lincoln, it's just more fun. From home cooked meals to pub lunches and from smart restaurants to take away pizza, there's much more choice. Most people will drive to their destination because it gives them increased mobility on their holiday. But we'd suggest that taking the car can add to the stress levels and you can arrive exhausted from a long drive. Buses and coaches are often surprisingly good value, and a train journey will take you through countryside you'll never see from the road.
