Before you book, be clear on how many people need separate beds as if you're travelling with friends, they may not be up for sharing double beds!

The best thing (at least as far as we're concerned) about staying in a Leicester holiday cottage is the self-catering. It's great to cook your own food, know exactly what ingredients are going in, and enjoying the reward of a great meal. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Leicester and Leicestershire. With the cost of petrol ever increasing it's worth investigating alternative travel arrangements. Buses and coaches are often surprisingly good value, and a train journey will take you through countryside you'll never see from the road.
