However, if you're like us, we tend to use the time to relax, read a good book, catch up on sleep and generally laze around.

When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Carnforth, it's just more fun. From home cooked meals to pub lunches and from smart restaurants to take away pizza, there's much more choice. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Carnforth and Lancashire. Although it's good to be able to hop in the car to the nearest town when you get there - don't you really just want to get away from it all? Although most places are going to be out of reach by bicycle the UK train and coach network can get you very close.
