Holt Holiday Cottages

No matter where you go there is often a very wide selection of places to stay including hotels, bed and breakfasts, and apartments. Many of our properties are situated in beautiful villages, quiet countryside or charming seaside towns. Cottage holidays have a unique feel to them and there are more and more cottages available in Holt. Kids love staying in cottages and although hotels can have more facilities, there's not the same sense of adventure - and there are certainly more rules and regulations. The freedom to be able to come and go as you please, being able to cook your own food, or just being able to sleep in as long as you want.

Renting is a great way to spend a week away. The busiest times of year will be around the school summer holiday, so if you don't have kids, you may want to avoid July and August. When you are looking for the right holiday cottage in Holt, there are a few considerations to bear in mind. There's no doubt that being in the right town or village is a big factor, but the number of beds you need is more so. Make sure you know who is prepared to share a room, and who isn't - it's not always obvious til you ask.

If you're travelling with a group of friends you may want to burn some energy and get outdoors, and there are several options in and around Holt. Couples can take long romantic walks (or even silent ones!), friends can get on bicycles, families can visit adventure parks or play tennis. Or perhaps you're more interested in a pint of beer, a glass of wine or a gin and tonic in a traditional country pub?

If you like self-catering then there really is no better option than a holiday cottage in Holt. It's a relief to be able to eat whatever you fancy, and any time of the day, and of course self-catering can include take-aways. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Holt and Dorset. But we'd suggest that taking the car can add to the stress levels and you can arrive exhausted from a long drive. You could go by train or coach, with a short taxi ride at the other end, and then hire some bicycles to get around.
