The best thing (at least as far as we're concerned) about staying in a Dent holiday cottage is the self-catering. Now that doesn't mean you need to cook everything because there are plenty of places to eat out in Dent Cumbria. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Dent and Cumbria. But we'd suggest that taking the car can add to the stress levels and you can arrive exhausted from a long drive. Although most places are going to be out of reach by bicycle the UK train and coach network can get you very close.
