FILTER COTTAGES
...
The range of accommodation available in the UK is impressive, and this not only allows holiday makers to choose from many alternatives, but also keeps the prices competitive. Cottages are usually found in country villages and areas, but can be modern as well as traditional. This year we have seen more cottages available in Waterloo than ever before. Waterloo family holidays in cottages are great for many reasons, but certainly the number one reason is creating a temporary home from home. The freedom to be able to come and go as you please, being able to cook your own food, or just being able to sleep in as long as you want.

Renting is a great way to spend a week away. Once you've found a great cottage, it's always a pleasure to go back the following year, and don't forget to tell your friends about our site if you found it here. Choosing the right Waterloo accommodation is sometimes complicated when there are so many factors. Booking the right number of bedrooms is critical as although too many is a luxury, too few can be a big problem. Make sure you know who is prepared to share a room, and who isn't - it's not always obvious til you ask.
Cottages in Cornwall range in size from small and quaint for a couple right up to properties that can accommodate more than 10. If you have any concerns with your booking, please contact the cottage operator directly since we are unable to help. Holiday makers often like to get out into the country and take part in open-air activities, and in Cornwall there are number of great options. Couples can take long romantic walks (or even silent ones!), friends can get on bicycles, families can visit adventure parks or play tennis. Or perhaps you're more interested in a pint of beer, a glass of wine or a gin and tonic in a traditional country pub?

One of the great benefits of cottage holidays in Waterloo is being able to self-cater, or at least do your own thing. It's great to cook your own food, know exactly what ingredients are going in, and enjoying the reward of a great meal. Most people will drive to their destination because it gives them increased mobility on their holiday. With the rise in petrol and the cost of wear and tear on your car you should consider other options. Although most places are going to be out of reach by bicycle the UK train and coach network can get you very close.

Cornwall

'We love Cornwall. It is a unique county, surrounded by water on all sides (including the River Tamar in the East), with a stunning landscape and the warmest climate in Britain.

It is no wonder that tourists flock here to rent holiday cottages. But it is not just beuatiful beaches and cliffs, there are large areas of moorland and woodlands... and many beautifully tended gardens. With more than 5 million visitors to the county every year it is one of the top choices for a staycation - a holiday in your home country.

Access to Cornwall has much improved in recent years with much faster and well-maintained roads, but also airports in Newquay and Plymouth and a very good train service to and from London.

Surfing is extremely popular on the North Coast, specifically in and around Newquay, and the arrival of the
Eden Project near St Austell has brought even ... (more)
