FILTER COTTAGES
...
Wherever you visit, you can usually find a good variety of places to stay; we realise that this isn't just restricted to cottages and that there is competition from b&bs and hotels. Cottages are usually found in country villages and areas, but can be modern as well as traditional. Cottage holidays have a unique feel to them and there are more and more cottages available in Truro. Children enjoy staying in cottages even more than adults, because there's a huge sense of freedom that they just don't get in a hotel, staying with friends or even at home. The freedom to be able to come and go as you please, being able to cook your own food, or just being able to sleep in as long as you want.

There are few things better than renting a Truro cottage for a week. Please try to book your holiday in advance as last minute reservations are possible but obviously not guaranteed! When you are looking for the right holiday cottage in Truro, there are a few considerations to bear in mind. You may be confident in the location and the key amenities you want, but what about the bedrooms? Getting the right number of beds and bedrooms can be the difference between friends and family sleeping well - or not at all.
Cottages in Cornwall range in size from small and quaint for a couple right up to properties that can accommodate more than 10. If you have any concerns with your booking, please contact the cottage operator directly since we are unable to help. Although we can't promise this for all our cottages in Truro and Cornwall, many of them are very close to a number of outdoor facilities. Families can enjoy long bike rides, couples can enjoy energetic walks and groups of friends can be more adventurous, such as climbing. Or perhaps you're more interested in a pint of beer, a glass of wine or a gin and tonic in a traditional country pub?

When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Truro, it's just more fun. It's great to cook your own food, know exactly what ingredients are going in, and enjoying the reward of a great meal. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Truro and Cornwall. But have you considered taking a more environmentally sound approach, one that uses less carbon? Although most places are going to be out of reach by bicycle the UK train and coach network can get you very close.

Cornwall

'We love Cornwall. It is a unique county, surrounded by water on all sides (including the River Tamar in the East), with a stunning landscape and the warmest climate in Britain.

It is no wonder that tourists flock here to rent holiday cottages. But it is not just beuatiful beaches and cliffs, there are large areas of moorland and woodlands... and many beautifully tended gardens. With more than 5 million visitors to the county every year it is one of the top choices for a staycation - a holiday in your home country.

Access to Cornwall has much improved in recent years with much faster and well-maintained roads, but also airports in Newquay and Plymouth and a very good train service to and from London.

Surfing is extremely popular on the North Coast, specifically in and around Newquay, and the arrival of the
Eden Project near St Austell has brought even ... (more)
