The range of accommodation available in the UK is impressive, and this not only allows holiday makers to choose from many alternatives, but also keeps the prices competitive. Cottages are usually found in country villages and areas, but can be modern as well as traditional. Cottage holidays have a unique feel to them and there are more and more cottages available in Sheffield. Taking your family away can be fun and stressful, but we find that staying in a cottage takes much of that stress away. So you can let you kids do whatever they want (as long as you're happy!) without fear of being too noisy or too messy.

A cottage can be perfect for a very short break or very long holiday. The busiest times of year will be around the school summer holiday, so if you don't have kids, you may want to avoid July and August. Knowing what everyone wants can make a big difference when you book your holiday accommodation in Sheffield. Although location and the core facilities play a large part in the decision, please make sure you pay attention to the beds. Getting the right number of beds and bedrooms can be the difference between friends and family sleeping well - or not at all.
Some of the best cottages in Cornwall can be found in and around Sheffield, so we hope you find what you need. If you have any concerns with your booking, please contact the cottage operator directly since we are unable to help. Even if you already have a busy itinerary planned for your holiday you might want to consider some additional activities in Sheffield and Cornwall. These can include mountain biking, swimming, road cycling, climbing, canoeing, flying kites, shooting - as well as tennis and golf. Or maybe you'd be happier sitting by the side of a river with a fishing rod, a cup of coffee and a good friend?

One of the great benefits of cottage holidays in Sheffield is being able to self-cater, or at least do your own thing. Now that doesn't mean you need to cook everything because there are plenty of places to eat out in Sheffield Cornwall. Without a doubt the main way holiday makers get to their cottage is by car, because it's the easiest. But we'd suggest that taking the car can add to the stress levels and you can arrive exhausted from a long drive. You could go by train or coach, with a short taxi ride at the other end, and then hire some bicycles to get around.

Cornwall

'We love Cornwall. It is a unique county, surrounded by water on all sides (including the River Tamar in the East), with a stunning landscape and the warmest climate in Britain.

It is no wonder that tourists flock here to rent holiday cottages. But it is not just beuatiful beaches and cliffs, there are large areas of moorland and woodlands... and many beautifully tended gardens. With more than 5 million visitors to the county every year it is one of the top choices for a staycation - a holiday in your home country.

Access to Cornwall has much improved in recent years with much faster and well-maintained roads, but also airports in Newquay and Plymouth and a very good train service to and from London.

Surfing is extremely popular on the North Coast, specifically in and around Newquay, and the arrival of the
Eden Project near St Austell has brought even ... (more)
