The best thing (at least as far as we're concerned) about staying in a Porthnaven holiday cottage is the self-catering. From home cooked meals to pub lunches and from smart restaurants to take away pizza, there's much more choice. Most people will drive to their destination because it gives them increased mobility on their holiday. But we'd suggest that taking the car can add to the stress levels and you can arrive exhausted from a long drive. You could go by train or coach, with a short taxi ride at the other end, and then hire some bicycles to get around.
