Many of our properties are situated in beautiful villages, quiet countryside or charming seaside towns. This year we have seen more cottages available in Marazion than ever before. Children enjoy staying in cottages even more than adults, because there's a huge sense of freedom that they just don't get in a hotel, staying with friends or even at home. So you can let you kids do whatever they want (as long as you're happy!) without fear of being too noisy or too messy.

A cottage can be perfect for a very short break or very long holiday. We know that sometimes it's hard to book a long way in advance, but the benefits are obvious - more availability. Choosing the right Marazion accommodation is sometimes complicated when there are so many factors. Although location and the core facilities play a large part in the decision, please make sure you pay attention to the beds. Getting the right number of beds and bedrooms can be the difference between friends and family sleeping well - or not at all.

Although we can't promise this for all our cottages in Marazion and Cornwall, many of them are very close to a number of outdoor facilities. There are usually opportunities to play golf or tennis, or if you're into solo sports there's always biking, running and sometimes archery. But many people also like to just take it easy - and sit back and enjoy the experience away from the stress of work.

The best thing (at least as far as we're concerned) about staying in a Marazion holiday cottage is the self-catering. From home cooked meals to pub lunches and from smart restaurants to take away pizza, there's much more choice. If you're like the majority of people you are probably assuming you will travel to Marazion by car. But we'd suggest that taking the car can add to the stress levels and you can arrive exhausted from a long drive. Kids can find the adventure of a train or coach far more interesting, and it takes away the stress of navigation.
