As a holiday maker you have a great number of accommodation choices when it comes to staying away in the UK. Cottages are usually found in country villages and areas, but can be modern as well as traditional. More than ever before, there's a good selection of holiday cottages in and around Callington. Taking your family away can be fun and stressful, but we find that staying in a cottage takes much of that stress away. The excitement of a new bedroom that they can make their own is enough draw, without all the benefits of playing outside in the safety of a quiet rural environment.

A cottage can be perfect for a very short break or very long holiday. We work with some of the best cottage operators and agencies in the UK and so if we don't have a suitable property, you may find it doesn't exist. When you are looking for the right holiday cottage in Callington, there are a few considerations to bear in mind. There's no doubt that being in the right town or village is a big factor, but the number of beds you need is more so. Before you book, be clear on how many people need separate beds as if you're travelling with friends, they may not be up for sharing double beds!
Cornwall is blessed with a large number of very excellent holiday cottages suitable for families, couples and just friends. If you have a question about your reservation please contact the cottage operator who took your order and card details. Holiday makers often like to get out into the country and take part in open-air activities, and in Cornwall there are number of great options. These can include mountain biking, swimming, road cycling, climbing, canoeing, flying kites, shooting - as well as tennis and golf. However, if you're like us, we tend to use the time to relax, read a good book, catch up on sleep and generally laze around.

When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Callington, it's just more fun. It's a relief to be able to eat whatever you fancy, and any time of the day, and of course self-catering can include take-aways. Most people will drive to their destination because it gives them increased mobility on their holiday. Although it's good to be able to hop in the car to the nearest town when you get there - don't you really just want to get away from it all? You could go by train or coach, with a short taxi ride at the other end, and then hire some bicycles to get around.

Cornwall

'We love Cornwall. It is a unique county, surrounded by water on all sides (including the River Tamar in the East), with a stunning landscape and the warmest climate in Britain.

It is no wonder that tourists flock here to rent holiday cottages. But it is not just beuatiful beaches and cliffs, there are large areas of moorland and woodlands... and many beautifully tended gardens. With more than 5 million visitors to the county every year it is one of the top choices for a staycation - a holiday in your home country.

Access to Cornwall has much improved in recent years with much faster and well-maintained roads, but also airports in Newquay and Plymouth and a very good train service to and from London.

Surfing is extremely popular on the North Coast, specifically in and around Newquay, and the arrival of the
Eden Project near St Austell has brought even ... (more)
