The busiest times of year will be around the school summer holiday, so if you don't have kids, you may want to avoid July and August. It's a relief to be able to eat whatever you fancy, and any time of the day, and of course self-catering can include take-aways. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Chester and Cheshire. With the cost of petrol ever increasing it's worth investigating alternative travel arrangements. Buses and coaches are often surprisingly good value, and a train journey will take you through countryside you'll never see from the road.
