When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Ely, it's just more fun. Whether you love cooking up a large stew, a roast dinner or just prefer a toasted cheese sandwich - it can match your mood. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Ely and Cambridgeshire. With the cost of petrol ever increasing it's worth investigating alternative travel arrangements. You could go by train or coach, with a short taxi ride at the other end, and then hire some bicycles to get around.
