So you can let you kids do whatever they want (as long as you're happy!) without fear of being too noisy or too messy.

There are few things better than renting a Chatteris cottage for a week. The busiest times of year will be around the school summer holiday, so if you don't have kids, you may want to avoid July and August. The choice of Chatteris cottages is very broad so its important to understand what you need in advance. Although location and the core facilities play a large part in the decision, please make sure you pay attention to the beds. Getting the right number of beds and bedrooms can be the difference between friends and family sleeping well - or not at all.

Cambridgeshire is blessed with a large number of very excellent holiday cottages suitable for families, couples and just friends. Although we can't promise this for all our cottages in Chatteris and Cambridgeshire, many of them are very close to a number of outdoor facilities. Couples can take long romantic walks (or even silent ones!), friends can get on bicycles, families can visit adventure parks or play tennis. If you like more gentle options there's always a good walk nearby, and sometimes it might lead you to a pub.

Self-catering can make a cottage holiday in Chatteris much more flexible, allowing you to eat whatever you want (or can cook). Whether you love cooking up a large stew, a roast dinner or just prefer a toasted cheese sandwich - it can match your mood. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Chatteris and Cambridgeshire. With the cost of petrol ever increasing it's worth investigating alternative travel arrangements. Buses and coaches are often surprisingly good value, and a train journey will take you through countryside you'll never see from the road.
