If you are looking for a modern family cottage, a romantic break in an old stone cottage or just somewhere to get away for a short time, we can help. Many of our properties are situated in beautiful villages, quiet countryside or charming seaside towns. The selection of Dunoon holiday cottages is increasing every year. Taking your family away can be fun and stressful, but we find that staying in a cottage takes much of that stress away. So you can let you kids do whatever they want (as long as you're happy!) without fear of being too noisy or too messy.

There are few things better than renting a Dunoon cottage for a week. Please try to book your holiday in advance as last minute reservations are possible but obviously not guaranteed! Choosing the right Dunoon accommodation is sometimes complicated when there are so many factors. Booking the right number of bedrooms is critical as although too many is a luxury, too few can be a big problem. Make sure you know who is prepared to share a room, and who isn't - it's not always obvious til you ask.

Holiday makers often like to get out into the country and take part in open-air activities, and in Argyll and Bute there are number of great options. Families can enjoy long bike rides, couples can enjoy energetic walks and groups of friends can be more adventurous, such as climbing. Or maybe you'd be happier sitting by the side of a river with a fishing rod, a cup of coffee and a good friend?

When staying with friends we think self-catering is the best way to stay in Dunoon, it's just more fun. It's great to cook your own food, know exactly what ingredients are going in, and enjoying the reward of a great meal. Cars are by far the preferred mode of transport and travel to Dunoon and Argyll and Bute. With the cost of petrol ever increasing it's worth investigating alternative travel arrangements. You could go by train or coach, with a short taxi ride at the other end, and then hire some bicycles to get around.
